IBM z Application Performance Management (zAPM) Connect Recommended Maintenance

Preventive Service Planning


Abstract

The following table is a list of continuous delivery (CD) updates and other maintenance updates that are recommended for IBM zAPM Connect.
Note: On 11 December 2020, the base zAPM Connect SMP/E package was updated with all fixes before OA59371 / UJ04439. Customers receiving zAPM Connect after that date need to apply UJ04439 and subsequent fixes.

Maintenance is listed from most recent to oldest.  NOTE: "Minimum DG" refers to the minimum fix pack level of the Distributed Gateway required for full functionality, where "xxxxx" is equal to "ZAPM" for AppDynamics support or "INSTANA" for Instana on z/OS support starting after 6.1.0-11.
It is highly recommended that you always upgrade to the latest fix pack level. The most recent fix pack is zAPM 6.1.1 fix pack 5. It is a full product installation (that is, no need to install the base first, nor any intermediate FPs) and is available on IBM Fix Central:  https://www.ibm.com/support/fixcentral/
NOTE:  On z/OS you will see 6.1.0 in your joblogs but on distributed you will see 6.1.1.  This is okay.  If you are running at OA64084 or above, you are running the correct z/OS code even if the joblog says 6.1.0 and you are running with a 6.1.1 fix pack.
