APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• - Removing invalid MQ node when IMS performs a switch.
  
  - Working storage area runs out of space

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 deadlock causes zapm Abend OC4      *
  *                      in the db2 exit.                        *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply this PTF                               *
  ****************************************************************
  When a db2 deadlock or IMS pseudo abend occurs in an IMS
  application, IMS did not return to the application for Zapm
  Connect to clean up working storage. IMS does not return to the
  application on a db2 deadlock but re-queues the transaction.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS data producer has been enhanced to restore Zapm Connect
  environment.
