Problem summary
Z/OS CONNECT INTERCEPTOR may experience memory increases if the Distributed Gateway (or the Kafka pod on the DG) is down. PROBLEM SUMMARY: **************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All zAPM Connect v6.1.0 users with z/OS * * Connect applications * **************************************************************** If the zOS Connect server can not send zAPM Connect transactional events to the Distributed Gateway Kafka pod, customers may notice increased memory usage, and may even exhaust memory and see "java/lang/OutOfMemoryError" messages
Problem conclusion
zAPM Connect interceptor code has been updated to reduce the size of the queue limit thereby reducing memory usage when full.
