Error description
After an AGMQ INIT Mxxx (where Mxxx is the MQ queue manager), zAPM starts monitoring the MQ subsystem. This creates an entry in an APM control block associated with the SSCT. The APM control block supports 128 entries. When the MQ subsystem is brought down or the APM Container address space is brought down, the entry in the APM control block was not cleared causing the block to fill up. Once the threshold of 128 is reached, AGMQ0034E is issued. The only way to overcome the issue is to IPL z/OS or to create a new subsystem.
Local fix
Problem summary
AGMQ0034E error as the APM control block entries are not cleared, even during AGMQ TERM Mxxx.
Problem conclusion
The Z APM MQ Data collector was updated to clear the entry when a AGMQ TERM Mxxx is issued. The proper sequence to follow before bringing down MQ or zAPM container proc (AGMAPROC) is to issue a AGMQ TERM Mxxx.
