IBM Senior Vice President, Global Business Services Frank Kern hosted the group and spoke about the abundant opportunities where IBM and Jiangsu can continue to work together to build a Smarter Planet. IBM established a Nanjing branch office in 1995 and a Suzhou branch office in 2007. Since expanding into Jiangsu, IBM has supported a broad array of e-government initiatives in the province and partnered with Nanjing University in joint research projects in e-business, life sciences and high performance computing.
