IBM Tivoli Monitoring v6
IJ47476: LOG FILE AGENT CRASHED DURING REPETITIVE REPLACEMENT OF CONF AND FMT FILE.
Error description: When TransportList is used in the conf file, replacing conf and fmt
file multiple times in the agent cause tivoli log file agent to crash.

Error description: If LFA is used to monitor remote logs through SSH and the target machine is z/OS the agent can crash.

IJ47538: ORACLE INSTANCE DOWN MONITORING.
Error description: Oracle agent cannot retrieve the Oracle database instance name
when the oracle databse is OFFLINE/INACTIVE.As a result when situation is configured to monitor inactive databases and EIF
slot is configured where we want instance name in the custom slot message, instance name is shown as empty.

After upgrading the Monitoring Server or Warehouse Proxy Agent installation to 6.3.0.7 SP0014, agents in GSKit 7 based installations can no longer connect.

IJ46741: WINDOWS OS AGENT STOPPING IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTUP IN KGE COMPONENT.
Error description: The Windows OS Agent stopping immediately after startup in the KGE component.

After upgrading ITM to 6.3.0.7 SP0014, components that use TLSv1.3 in FIPS mode can no longer connect.
Problem description: SP14 enables TLS v1.3 by default..
After being upgraded to SP14, ITM components that are configured to utilise FIPS mode SP800-131a:
KDEBE_FIPS_MODE_ENABLED=SP800-131a.
Will be unable to establish a connection to other components by using TLS v1.3.

Application Support seeding fails with Service Pack automatic procedure - KCIIN2514E TEMS service is still pending start.
Problem description: When applying Service Pack 10 or 12, after the actual service pack installation has been completed on the server component, the post installation script 'sp-postinst' might fail to seed Application Support components.

CP4MCM and ITCAM for xxx Updates Section
Troubleshooting (CP4MCM and ITCAM for xxx)Upgrade pending due to some installation plans failed with reason "DeadlineExceeded".
Problem: The upgrade failed or is pending when upgrading the Cloud Pak operator or service. If you check the installation plan, we can see some "installation plan" are in failed status, and if you check the reason, it reports, "Job was active longer than specified deadline Reason: DeadlineExceeded."

Important firewall changes for customers pulling IBM Cloud Pak and other container images.
Problem: IBM container image registries are changing and you might need to adjust your firewall settings by 15 August 2023, or you might lose access to IBM container content such as IBM Cloud Paks and other container images.
The addition of these domain entries accommodates future changes that might issue a redirect for certain requests such as an image layer download for traffic optimization.

Error description: The Sybase agent setup guide paragraph "Running the agent as a nonadministrator user" does not detail the steps to setup and run the agent as nonadministrator on Windows platforms.
The Sybase agent supports running the agent as localnon-administrator user on Windows, the documentation is corrected to include the needed setup steps.

[New IBM Tivoli Monitoring Related Section: Java Expired Certificates]
Resigning Tivoli Enterprise Portal (TEP) client JAR file certificates.
Summary: Java certificates for the IBM Tivoli Monitoring portal client jar files have an expiry date. It's also possible to
encounter certificate issues (such as expiration or low encryption levels) at any time when you add other application
support packages to your environment. Adding support packages can be performed manually or automatically via the Self Describing Agent functionality.
When that happens, JAR files need to be resigned. You do not have to wait for the certificates to expire, you can have
your JAR files updated with the latest certificate at any time.

[Preparing customer firewalls and proxies for the upcoming infrastructure changes]
New network connections between your machine and IBM servers.
Abstract: IBM is planning to implement infrastructure improvements to Call Home, Testcase Data Exchange and Secure File Transfer on 4th June 2022.
Both Public and Internal IP addresses change for the IBM servers that electronically exchange test cases, configuration files, traces, dumps and other diagnostic information with customers.
Customers experience uninterrupted service due to the change in IP addresses in June.
Both the current IP addresses and the new IP addresses are accepted initially.
From 31 August 2022 only, the new IP addresses will be accepted and so it is advised that new firewall rules and proxy updates are completed before that date.
