Defining adapters
After the system parameters are defined, you can select and configure adapters in the Adapters tab:

Select the Adapters view as shown in Figure 326 to define the adapters. A list of supported adapters for the system type and version selected is displayed.
 
Note: Host adapters must be filled out in order to do performance predictions.

Select an Unused Adapter Type, then select Edit. Expand the drop-down menu and a list of adapters is displayed. This example defines two 16 Gb FC 4 Port Adapter pair, shown in Figure 327. Once the adapter type is selected, a menu is displayed to define how the adapter ports will be used (see Figure 328): Host I/O, Storage, Node to Node, Replication. This example used the default values. (Select Unused > Edit > 2 x 4-port 32Gb Fibre Channel > Save.)
