Configuring IBM Storage Virtualize Systems
An IBM Storage Virtualize system is modeled by creating storage pools that contain multiple arrays of disk drives assigned to Input/Output (IO) groups. Typically, a storage pool contains
only one type of array, such that each array has the same drive type and RAID preset. Each time a Storage pool is added, the Capacity function will compute the most efficient way to
distribute all drives over the enclosures, taking into account balancing and sparing rules. To create a new project to model an IBM Storage Virtualized system, refer to the
“Creating a project”
section. To open and update an existing project go to the

The Products view is displayed. If storage products have already been defined, the capacity and other information is displayed. If the storage product contains errors or warnings, they are
flagged here.
