Architecting the Future | The world is going hybrid with IBM
Virtual Event
Virtual Event
The world has changed. As we navigate the post-COVID-19 economy, one thing is clear: businesses that are unable to innovate fast enough risk being left behind.
Enterprises across all industries are embracing a diverse mixture of on-premises, public and private cloud services to unlock new sources of business value. However, flat IT budgets, ever-growing data volumes and increasingly sophisticated cyber threats can derail innovation.
Join IBM experts and industry peers at our exclusive “Architecting the Future” virtual event to discover how you can transform your business with hybrid cloud and accelerate innovation while ensuring business continuity, security and cost-effectiveness.
COVID-19 is not only changing our way of life, it will hasten the arrival of a radical new future of work. While for many of us working from home has been a new and unexpected challenge - that is just the start of a much bigger transformation set to reshape the nature of business itself. Becoming future-proof is more than just about getting through the current crisis - it is about being ready for the new world that awaits us on the other side.

Technology continues to shape our economy and our lives, and it can help us overcome extraordinary disruption, as evidenced during the pandemic crisis. Exponential efficiency gains in compute, data and networking enable not only broad digital evolution, but also a far-reaching digital revolution, whether it is in the data center or at the edge. This new digital paradigm is powered by data and intelligence. A powerful, secure and flexible Hybrid Cloud and AI platform is instrumental in helping companies leverage data and intelligence from a broad ecosystem to uncover more business value than ever before. With the right platform and technologies, we can build a smart architecture for a smart future.

Containers are Linux. Emerging from the community, Kubernetes has become the leading platform for building and orchestrating containerized applications. Red Hat has started to contribute early and built what is today the leading enterprise Kubernetes platform: the Red Hat Openshift Container Platform. Offering customers choice and flexibility, Red Hat Openshift Container Platform can be used on premise e.g. on IBM z/ LinuxOne, on IBM Power or as a managed offering in the IBM Cloud as Red Hat Kubernetes Service.

Sebastian Siegert will be available for Live Q&A in the dedicated session from 13:05:00 CET
Hybrid cloud enables users to reorganize their workload such that they can balance scale and performance in a secure and flexible environment. Quantum computing is a fundamentally new model of computation that promises to solve intractable problems in material science, chemistry, machine learning, and encryption. Our view of the future is a hybrid cloud with novel hardware accelerators including GPUs, FPGAs, custom AI accelerators, and, most prominently, quantum computing. While quantum hardware is rapidly scaling up towards 1000 qubits, quantum computing software must evolve at the same pace to allow higher quality, higher capacity, and higher variety executions of quantum circuits in the hardware. Two important components in the software evolution are Qiskit Runtime - an open-source and secure portable runtime, and dynamic circuits - smart quantum circuits with built-in real-time concurrent classical computations.
IBM Fellow and Vice President, Quantum Computing
