This page describes how to prepare data to be transferred to IBM.
- Gather diagnostic data
- Your IBM SSR informs you what diagnostic data is required.
- Your IBM SSR provides you with an IBM My Support (CSP) case number ( TS<xxxxxxxxx> ). Please record this number.
- Compress data
- All diagnostic data delivered electronically to IBM must be in a compressed or packed format following the IBM file naming conventions.
- Send data
- Send data to IBM by using the most appropriate method.
- Your IBM SSR informs you what directory to use.
There are three basic steps that need to be followed in order to prepare your data.
If you are transferring files to IBM support, you need to follow the following naming conventions except if you are transferring files to ECuRep via HTTPS directly. Consider leveraging the upload option integrated in My Support.
File naming convention for My Support case:
- File naming convention: TS<xxxxxxxxx>.yyy.yyy
- Examples for My Support Case number:
TS012345678.Filename.zip
