How to collect technical evidence data on SevOne NMS appliances
The Evidence collection for NMS appliance is streamlined and simplified to use a modular approach. We continue to improve the MustGather information by including more tools and features. These new modules are now included
Fixed issues and new features in 7.2.0:
- New modules added for sdwan and traps
- The collected files will maintain the file ownership, permissions and modification timestamps based on the source files as collected from the appliance.
- The Config backup folder was not excluded and all contents were collected leading to an increased size of the MustGather collected file. This is now addressed and the MustGather will not collect the config backup folder from /config/backup.
- The must gather collected output includes a file that lists all the modules collected during each execution of the Must Gather collection.

| api | This module collects information from the NMS relevant to the SevOne API (SOAP, REST, SOA) |
| clustering | This module collects information specific to the clustering operations (peer add/remove, hsa add/remove) in the NMS. |
| device-discovery | This module collects information specific to the device discovery (non flow) operations in the NMS. |
| device-polling | This module collects information specific to the device polling (non flow and excluding external plugins like xstats and deferred data) operations in the NMS. |
| hardware | This module collects information specific to the hardware appliances (Only applicable to SevOne provided Hardware. This module is no longer available in NMS versions 7.0.0 or later). |
| must-gather [default] | The must-gather is the default module for the evidence collection command 'collect'. This option is always selected and included during evidence collection. This module collects the general system, platform, and system resource information about the NMS appliance. |
| mysql | This module collects information specific to the mysql database (including replication) operations in the NMS. |
| network-flow | This module collects information specific to the network flow operations in the NMS. |
| reporting | This module collects information specific to the reporting operations in the NMS. |
| sdb / sdp | This module collects information specific to the SevOne Data Bus (SDB) / SevOne Data Publisher (SDP in versions >= 7.0.0) operations in the NMS. |
| sdwan | This module introduced in NPM versions >= 7.2.0 collects information required for the SDWAN Solution for operations in the NMS. (NOTE: This collection is only specific to the solutions relatd information on the NMS appliance. To perform collection on the Solutions collectors, please refer to the product documentation.) |
