Installing
Follow these procedures to install IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance.
- Planning the installation
Read all the topics in this section before you begin to install or update any of the features of your product. Effective planning and an understanding of the key aspects of the installation process can help ensure a successful installation. - Loading and starting the VM
You must load and start the VM image OVA file on your virtualization software before you can set up IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance. - Configuring the environment by running the setup wizard
The setup wizard runs automatically the first time that you log in to the virtual machine. The setup wizard helps you configure network settings for running the product. - Configuring token licensing
You can enable, modify, or disable token licensing support. - Configuring the environment by using Linux commands
In complex environments, running the Setup wizard might not sufficiently configure the VM image. - Configuring the application
You must edit the local_settings.py file to configure the required and optional operating settings for IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance. - Creating and modifying the superuser account
The IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance service can have one or more superuser accounts who have privileges to all mobile apps and actions in the service. You can create the superuser account after you install MobileFirst Quality Assurance. You can also change the password or email address for the superuser account. - Configuring the server to use HTTPS
By default, IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance is configured to support HTTPS. The administrator must provide a public server certificate and private key. The certificate serves to identify MobileFirst Quality Assurance to clients, including web browsers and mobile devices. - Deploying the bug tracking system server
To integrate app feedback and bugs with selected bug tracking systems, you must configure a bug tracking system server in addition to the server that hosts IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance. - Starting MobileFirst Quality Assurance
If you stopped IBM MobileFirst Quality Assurance, or if you completed the installation process, then you must start the services that are required to use the product. - Updating
IBM® Installation Manager updates the MobileFirst Quality Assurance product, and also the operating system and software components. - Release notes for MobileFirst Quality Assurance
