OmniPay, headquartered in Dublin, processes electronic payments on behalf of acquiring banks and their merchants across the US, Europe and Asia-Pacific.
"At OmniPay we provide processing services to over 20 banks around the world across a wide range of merchants. Many of these merchants have global businesses and we strive to provide a wide range of services and applications to our customers. To help us stay competitive, IBM integrated our new infrastructure to better meet the high-availability, high performance and security requirements in today’s Global Financial environments”, said Brian Connolly, CEO OmniPay. ”IBM developed a reliable, on demand, infrastructure whereby additional server processing and storage can be commissioned by us without any disruption to our business. It offers us computing power growth to match our larger business volumes when required and supports our PCI compliance.”
OmniPay's innovative technology platforms and processing solutions are designed to actively manage the entire domestic and multicurrency payment processing cycle, delivering innovative market led services to acquirers and their merchants. Its payment processes service is modular in design, enabling local market customisation, modifications for card scheme compliance, and specific acquirer requirements to be developed quickly and cost effectively.
"Organisations such as OmniPay cannot afford downtime while their infrastructure grows to match larger business volumes" said Anne Fitzsimons, Manager, IBM Integration Technology Services (ITS). "OmniPay has demonstrated that choosing an on demand infrastructure solution helps to reduce the burden on Information Technology (IT) resources. OmniPay also benefits from working with IBM's Internet Security Systems (ISS) to reinforce its existing security controls, and further protect its customer and corporate data.”
IBM ITS develops highly scalable IT solutions that are designed to help reduce complexities and improve operational compliance for organisations of all types and sizes. IBM views flexibility and ease of use as critical IT requirements, especially in the financial markets.
