Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall is a multi-award-winning writer and broadcaster known for his uncompromising commitment to seasonal, ethically produced food and his concern for the environment. He has earned a huge following through his River Cottage TV series and books, as well as campaigns such as Hugh’s Fish Fight, Hugh’s War on Waste, Britain’s Fat Fight, Saving Africa’s Elephants, and his latest War on Plastic with Hugh and Anita.

Hugh’s early smallholding experiences were shown in the Channel 4 River Cottage series and led to the publication of The River Cottage Cookbook (2001), which won the Glenfiddich Trophy and the André Simon Food Book of the Year award. Thirteen more books have followed, including the acclaimed River Cottage Meat Book and the immensely popular River Cottage Veg Everyday. Hugh’s latest book is River Cottage Much More Veg.

Hugh established River Cottage HQ in Dorset in 2004, and the operation is now based at Park Farm near Axminster in Devon. An organic smallholding, HQ is also the hub for a broad range of courses and events, and home to the River Cottage Cookery School.

Hugh’s broadcasting has earned him a BAFTA as well as awards from Radio 4, The Observer and the Guild of Food Writers. Besides more than 20 cookery-based series, Hugh’s TV work includes hard-hitting campaigns such as the highly influential Fish Fight, which brought about changes in fisheries law at the European level.

Hugh continues to work as a journalist and wrote a weekly column for The Guardian between 2006 and 2014. He is a vice president of Fauna and Flora International and a patron of Switchback, a charity that helps young offenders find opportunities in the catering industry.

Hugh, his wife Marie and their four children divide their time between East Devon and Bristol.

Katie Derham

Katie Derham is a presenter on BBC Radio 3 and one of the station’s best known voices, having presented Afternoons on 3 and more recently taking on the mantle of drive time programme In Tune, fronting the show on rotation with Sean Rafferty. Other Radio 3 credits include Sound of Dance on Saturday afternoons where she explored the relationship between music and dance in varying genres.

She has also been the face of the BBC Proms since 2010 and hosts the weekly magazine show Proms Extra every Saturday on BBC2 during the season. Katie also presented for BBC Four’s series of Discovering concert programmes in 2019.

Katie spent the first 15 years of her broadcasting career in news and current affairs, first at the BBC then as ITV’s youngest ever newsreader, where her role as anchor meant she covered everything from elections to royal weddings and the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.

She also fronts television documentaries, most recently presenting The Girl from Ipanema: Brazil, Bossa Nova and the Beach for the BBC, which saw her travelling to Rio de Janeiro, where her Father was born, to explore the story behind Brazil’s most famous and enduring song. She was the host of All Together Now: The Great Orchestra Challenge for BBC4 and Fine Tuned, two specials for Sky Arts in which she discussed music with Alexander Armstrong alongside exclusive performances from his latest albums.

Bill Kelleher is the IBM Chief Executive in the UK and Ireland (UKI). He is responsible for IBM’s operations across the UKI and for leading the transformation to a cognitive solutions and cloud platform company. As one of IBM’s largest international operations, the UKI has significant core capabilities in data and analytics, cloud, mobile, social and security – empowering clients to unlock new insights and usher in a new era of cognitive business. Bill has more than twenty years of global leadership and industry experience having held a number of executive and leadership roles across the United Kingdom, Europe and Globally. He has primarily operated in market facing roles which have previously included strategic client leadership, Vice President - European Communications Sector, Vice President - Small & Medium Business Sector and multiple Vice President and General Manager roles across IBM's Global Services businesses.

Most recently, Bill was IBM's Global Managing Director for the Telecom, Media & Entertainment Industry. Through his position he held end-to-end responsibility for the company’s business and relationships with IBM's telecommunications, media and entertainment clients around the world. In addition to his responsibilities, Bill is a serving member of the IBM Chairman’s global Growth and Transformation Team and Performance Team which is responsible for shaping and developing IBM’s corporate strategy and performance. He additionally served as a foundational member of the IBM Client Experience Team from 2012 through to 2014.

John McGrath

John is a Senior Solution Architect for IBM Watson Financial Services leading the IBM TechForGood team in the IBM Centre of Excellence for Corporate Social Responsibility. Based in the IBM Ireland Software Lab, he was previously the Worldwide Practice Leader for IBM Security and Smarter Cities related project delivery. Prior to joining IBM, he was the Enterprise Program Director for Portal for TransAlta in Canada.

Grace Jansen

Grace is a developer advocate at IBM, working with Open Liberty and Reactive Platform. She has now been with IBM for a year, after graduating from Exeter University with a Degree in Biology. Moving to software engineering has been a challenging step for Grace, but she enjoys bringing a varied perspective to her projects and using her knowledge of biological systems to simplify complex software patterns and architectures. As a developer advocate, Grace builds POC’s, demos and sample applications, and writes guides and tutorials to help guide users through technologies and products.
