Capacity / Logical Layout tab
The process of adding drive sets in the Physical Layout tab includes the addition of pool pairs. The Logical Layout tab shows the details of all pools in your system and gives you the
following configuration options:
▪Review capacity details for each pool pair.
▪Add Pool Pair dialog box
▪Edit Pool Pair dialog box
▪Delete a pool pair (if it is empty)
▪Move Drive Set dialog box
▪Add Data Space Pair dialog box
After selecting the Logical Layout tab, you see the pool pairing that you establish when you initially add drive sets.
Figure 213 on page 259
shows how our simple example system has only one pool pair for all 6 drive adapters that we added.
In our example, the single pool pair gets the name
Pair 1. The constituent pools are named Pool 0 and Pool 1, but you can
modify these names, as described later in this section.

Tips:
▪You can always glance at the graphical bars at the upper-right of the display to see Raw, Usable, and Effective capacity for your system as a whole.
▪Also, the adjacent graphical displays show the number of configuration Warnings or Errors, if any. Click on a number display to see the warning or error.

Editing, moving, or adding a pool pair
The pool pairs that you create when you add drive sets can be edited or deleted and their drive sets moved from pool pair to pool pair in the Logical Layout tab. And you can add more pool
pairs. These functions allow you to change the default Easy Tier layout or add pool pairs for Volumes. Click the caret (^) icon beside an existing pool pair
to see details, as shown in Figure 213.
