Since May 2021, Storage Modeller allows designers to subdivide pools with Data Spaces. That way, the storage model better represents the internal pool characteristics.

Figure 111 on page 130 shows the key resources and the configuration attributes (properties) of volumes inside storage pools. Because of this internal pool complexity, modeling at the level of the entire pool cannot generate optimal capacity and performance reports. Data Spaces address the need to account for internal pool complexity in a system design.
