Error description
Proxy should provide some custom property to allow you to remove some http headers before the response is written into proxy cache.
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application Server **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Some user private set-cookie headers * * might be stored in the proxy cache. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** By default, proxy will store set-cookie headers in the proxy cache. However, if servers does not set Cache-Control header properly, some session related user private cookie will be stored in the proxy cache.
Problem conclusion
There are several ways to workaround the issue: 1. Disable proxy caching globally or for certain URLs. 2. Configure server to return Proper cache control header, such as: "Cache-Contol: no-cache" This header will disable proxy caching for the response. "Cache-Control: no-cache="header-name1, header-names" This will disable proxy caching certain HTTP headers specified in the list. In the fix, we provide following proxy custom property to help administrator to disable proxy caching certain HTTP header at server scope. Custom property name: http.cache.nocache.headers Custom Property value: comma separated HTTP header names such as http.cache.nocache.headers="Set-Cookie,Set-Cookie2" property will disable proxy caching Set-Cookie and Set-Cookie2 headers when a cacheable response is received. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 6.1.0.29 and 7.0.0.7.
