Transaction - Rejection

On the platform Payment Live board, under the section Transactions you can see different boxes that contain transactions in different statuses. These boxes have different colors: Green, Blue, Yellow, and Red.

In this document we are going to learn about rejection reasons and rejecting a transaction available in red queues.

Transaction rejection is restricted to specific roles. If you do not have access to this part of the platform and need to reject some transactions, please contact your administrator.

How transactions go to the rejection queue?

On the platform, all transactions are processed following the flow configuration. The following validations can change the status of the transaction to “Rejected”:

Payment Live Board - Transactions rejected
  • Account validations:

    • Depending on the flow configuration, you can validate the accounts used in your transaction against the configured accounts.

    • Depending on the flow configuration, you can validate the pattern used in your transaction accounts against CPA rules.

  • Mandatory validations:

  • Validation rules: All transactions that do not respect the validation rules available in the flow rule set are rejected.

  • Fraud rules: All transactions that do not respect the fraud rules available in the flow rule set are rejected.

  • Organization or channel limits reached.

  • PSR reject: Depending on the status sent in a PSR (Payment Status Report), a transaction may be rejected.

  • Manual reject: All transactions in “To approve”, “Hold” and “To correct” statuses can be manually rejected.

  • Other specific engines.

If the “Enable transaction edition” option is activated within the flow, all transactions rejected by any of the previous reasons will be sent to the “Transaction to correct” queue instead of “Transaction rejected” queue in the Payment Live Board.

How to identify the reason of the rejection?

Transactions with the status "Rejected" are transactions whose processing has failed. In order to avoid this scenario on your transaction, you must identify the reason for this failure.

To identify the transaction rejection reason, within the Payment Live Board > Transactions section:

  • Click on the “Transactions rejected” queue to display the list of transactions.

  • Find the transaction you want to view within this list.

  • Click on Details to display the whole transaction information.

  • Use the View state button to know the status reason. The State reason will display the rejection reason.
