Flows
To manage the flows of the platform, you must go to the Configuration menu and click on Flows. This section of the configuration manages the flows and their parameters.
The flow management is restricted by specific roles. If you do not have access to this part of the platform and need to manage flows, please contact your administrator.
Flows list
In the flow list screen, you can:

Filter the list to view a more restricted list of flows or perform a search.

Create a new flow. For more details on how to create a new flow, please refer to the section: Flow creation.

Reload the table content by clicking on the Refresh button.
By selecting a specific flow from the list, you can:

Display the entire history of the selected flow. All changes made to the flow since its creation are listed with the corresponding dates and the identity of the modifier.

View all flow configuration details.

Edit the information of the selected flow.

Duplicate the selected flow. All the information of the selected flow is pre-filled in the new flow creation screen except the name which is a unique field.

Delete the selected flow. A confirmation dialog will be displayed. This action is final, please perform it with caution.
Flow details
For each flow to which the user has access, the following information is available:

Id: Internal identifier
To access or copy this identifier, click on the number located in the first column: it is copied to the clipboard. You can use it to document issues for example.

Flow name: name used to identify the flow.

The network type for the flow.
-
Category of the message. It can be Payment or PSR or Financial Message.
-
The input and output file format to use when the transaction uses this flow.
-
A Rule set is associated with a flow to configure all the settings for a transaction.

Engines selected: the type of configuration(s) added. It can be:
-
File approval: Each file received will need at least one manual approval to be processed.
-
File correction approval: If a file is manually edited, to continue the processing, a manual approval is mandatory.
-
Transaction correction approval: If a transaction is manually edited, to continue the processing, a manual approval is mandatory.

Pre correction: To execute the pre correction rules.
-
Processing: Mandatory step to execute basic field validations and assign a payment type and channel to the transaction.

Post correction: To execute the post correction rules.
-
Duplicate checking: To validate the Possible Duplicate Emission PDE.
-
Validation: To execute the validation rules.
-
Fraud: To execute the fraud detection rules.
-
Transaction approval: Each transaction processed may need a manual approval to be processed based on the options selected.

Post processing: To execute additional mechanisms specific to a client.

Flow creation
Select the organization to which the flow will apply and click on Create.
When creating a new flow, you need to specify the following general fields, in each of the six sections:
General information step

Give a meaningful name to your flow.

The network of the flow - it can be WIRE or AFT.
-
Choose the Category.
-
Payment: all messages will be processed as payment transactions.
-
PSR: all messages will try to reconcile transactions.
-
Financial message: all messages will be processed as files only.
-
Different screens will appear according to what you choose.

Financial messages can be sent automatically through this flow: use the automatic option.

Financial messages can be created manually using this flow: use the manual option.
-
Financial messages can be sent automatically or created manually using this flow: use manual and automatic options.

The processing required is mandatory.
-
If Processing Required = Yes, category will be Payment or PSR.

If Processing Required = No, category will be Financial Message. (Different screen will be shown)

Terms & Conditions: A text zone is available to allow the entry of a paragraph comprising all the information that you wish to see carried out or accepted by the users who will have to manually create transactions.
Format step
For a Payment category:

Select a File format for this flow.
In the next three sections, the options can be activated or not by clicking. You can compose a very custom flow of configurations for your transactions.

File options:
-
Output required: without this option, no output file will be created.
-
Enable transaction edition: if some transactions are rejected during processing, they automatically arrive in the “To correct” queue to allow users to manually modify transactions.

Enable postdated: without this option, transactions with future dates will be sent on the current day.
-

Processing options:
-
Party positioning: this option defines if this flow is used to send transactions (you are the instructing), or used to receive transactions (you are the instructed).

SWIFTRef enrichment: with some basic information about transaction participants, we can enrich them using the SwiftRef repository.

Account management:
-
Account validation: depending on the accounts available in your organization, we can validate if transaction accounts exist.
-
Default account on failed: depending on the default accounts available in your organization, we can force you to use some accounts if no one is found.
-
Force default account: depending on the default accounts available in your organization, we can force you to always use a default account.

Processing rules:
-
Select a Rule set associated with your organization, to apply to your flow.
-
FX Type: specify the type of the FX (none, manual, static, or external) for the transactions of your flow.

For a PSR category:
-
Select a File format for this flow.
-
Notification duplicate: Based on the reconciliation process, if you send more than one PSR, you can choose to send a notification only once or resend the notification each time you receive the same status report.
For a Financial Message category:

Transformation Required: indicate if a transformation is needed. If Yes, then a file format to be transformed is needed. If No, then no transformation will be happening (i.e. a passthrough)

Validation Required: this is used to validate whether the payment imported is regulatory compliant

Output Required: indicate if an outbound file will be generated or not. If Yes, then would have to pick an output connectivity to indicate where the outbound file will be sending to.
Engines step
For a Payment category:
For a Financial Message or a PSR category:
Select as many configurations as you want in this list. The more you select, the more complex your flow will be. Each engine needs settings.
Options step
This screen can only be completed when the File approval or Transaction approval or Correction approval engines are selected at the previous step.

File approval level: you can choose to put 1 to 4 approvers.

Approval level is the number of approvers you want to add. Goes from 1 to 4.

Approval threshold: choose from when the approbation is triggered.

Approval Currency: the currency for the variable approbation.
-
FX Type: specify on which type of FX the validation is applied.

Options for Manual Cancellation
The last 3 options can only be completed if the Transaction Approval type is Variable.
Post Processing step
This screen can only be completed when the Post Processing engine is selected.

You can select External Providers from the list.
Providers with similar services could be disabled when you select one.
Review step

The review lets you check if your flow is well configured before creating it. You can go back and modify any options if needed.
You can now press the Create button to retrieve this new flow in the list screen and use it for your transactions.
