Rule Set

To manage the rule sets of the platform, you must go to the Configuration menu and click on Rule Sets. This section of the platform configuration allows you to create and manage your own rule sets.

The rule sets management to be restricted to specific roles. If you do not have access to this part of the platform and need to manage rule sets, please contact your administrator.

A rule set lets you combine some rules in order to create a flow for an organization. With these configurations, you can process, enrich and validate one or multiple transactions easily.

In the rule sets list screen, you can:

  • Filter the list to view a more restricted list of rule sets or perform a search.

  • Action including Select All, Unselect All and Regenerate the rule set to reload all rules contained in the rule set with any last change.

  • Create a new rule set. For more details on creating a new rule set, please refer to the section: Rule set creation.

  • Reload the table content by clicking on the Refresh button.

By selecting a specific rule set in the list, you can:

  • Display the entire history of the selected rule set. All changes made to the rule set since its creation are listed with the corresponding dates and the identity of the modifier.

  • View all rule set details.

Rule regeneration is required if any modifications were made to the rule set otherwise those changes will not be implemented!

  • Edit the information of the selected rule set by updating the form.

  • Delete the selected rule set. A confirmation dialog will be displayed. This action is final, please perform it with caution.

For each rule set, the following is the information available:

  • Id: Internal identifier

To access or copy this identifier, click on the number located in the first column: it is copied to the clipboard. You can use it to document issues, for example.

  • Name: the name used to identify the rule set.

  • Description: a short description of the rule set.

  • Five columns representing the rule types were added to the rule set. The number of each rule type added is indicated in the corresponding column.

    • Pre correction

    • Payment type

    • Post correction

    • Validation

    • Fraud

  • Organization: unique organization assigned to this rule set.

Rule set creation

Select the organization to which the rule set will apply and click on Create.

When creating a new rule set, you need to specify all of the following general fields, in each of the seven sections:

  • Give a meaningful Name for your rule.

  • Description: short text allowing to summarize the rule set.

The five next steps allow you to add rules to the rule set. Some rules are available by default, but if you want more, you have to create them beforehand in the Rule screens. Therefore, some screens in this section could be blank due to the lack of rules for specific rule types.

You can move all fields by double-clicking on them or by using the drag-and-drop icon.

  • Click the Next button to proceed to the next step.

Payment type step

  • Click the Next button to proceed to the next step.

  • Click the Next button to proceed to the next step.

Review step

  • The review lets you check if your ruleset is well configured before creating it. You can go back and modify some options if needed using the Previous button.

You can now press the Create button to create this new rule set. It will appear in the list screen and will be available to use when creating a Flow.
