Approving account data
In IBM® Envizi ESG Suite, you can use account data approvals to improve the quality of the ESG data that is used for downstream reporting, analysis, and decision making.
By enabling the account data approvals feature, you can set an approval status for every account record. You can use the approval status to lock individual records and to differentiate between approved and unapproved data that is used in reporting.

After a record is marked as Approved, it is counted toward the approved
percentage of Monthly normalization that is used in
reporting. If a record needs to be returned to the originator at any point, the record can be marked
as Rejected.
New work roles for reviewing and approving data can be assigned to any user, with the ability to restrict the review and approval permissions to specific data types, locations, and groups. Configuration options are available to configure simple workflows with a single approval step. Alternatively, you can configure more complex workflows with separate review and approval steps, and strict controls such as separation of duties. You can configure the settings for each approval status to suit your organizational needs.
