*                      registrar file that doesn't ask for     *
*                      SMF 89-1 records.                       *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

Without the tag in the registrar XML to indicate SMF 89-1
records, WebSphere Application Server for z/OS will register
with IFAEDREG in the controller address space -- nothing happens
in the servant address space. However, the servant code still
passes back a return code that doesn't get explicitly set in
this case. If the returned storage happens to NOT be zeros, then
this problem will occur. If storage does happen to be zeros, and
there are multiple registrar files, there is also the potential
for the product name to be missing from message ADMA9007I due to
a bug in the code that only looks at the first registrar file it
finds.

Problem conclusion

The code was updated to properly initialize return code storage
and to ensure all applicable registrar files are examined.

APAR PK90873 is currently targeted for inclusion in
Service Level (Fix Pack) 6.1.0.29 of WebSphere
Application Server V6.1
