Error description

An Abend occurs in the Servant during startup of the
messaging channel. The Abend occurs on the re-try of the
connect attempt following an unsuccessful connect attempt due to
the Adjunct not being initialized as yet.

The servant job abends during a re-try attempt to connect with
the CRA. A servant First Failure Detection Capture (FFDC) entry
will contain a DataspaceInternalErrorException from method
TCPProxyBridgeServicesImpl.ntv_send. This is an indication
that the first attempt to connect to the CRA was unsuccessful.
The occurrence of this FFDC is, by itself, not an indication
of a fatal error because a retry to connect is attempted. The
connection re-try causes an abend in the servant because a
listener thread created by the first attempt is still active
and in conflict with the listener thread created by the connect
re-try. This abend can be identified in the CEE3DMP Traceback
as an Exception in the Get Receive Queue module bbocjfgq
invoked by the WebSphere Application Server native method
JFAPTCPProxy_ntv_getReceiveQueue.

Problem conclusion

The servant messaging channel connect process has been
changed to terminate it's listener thread in the event that an
initial connect attempt to the CRA is unsuccessful.
Elimination of this listener thread allows the listener thread
created by the connect re-try to process the Get Receive Queue
without the occurrance of an abend.

APAR PK89503 is currently targeted for inclusion in Service
Level (Fix Pack) 7.0.0.5 of WebSphere Application Server V7.0.
