Support form
Select Support to request an enhancement to Storage Modeller or report an error/bug. Fill in the support form with specific details, attach files if needed, select the Priority, then click Submit. A pop-up is displayed stating your email was sent. All support and feedback uses the same form shown in Figure 17 on page 13 and is routed to the Storage Techline and the development team. All fields are required to be filled in.
▪Select the Product Family you require support for (General, IBM Cloud Object Storage, IBM DS8000, IBM ESS / Storage Scale, IBM System, IBM Storage Virtualize, IBM Storage as a Service, IBM System Subscription).
▪Select Client Country.
▪Sales Opportunity ID (Required for Performance Study Assistance).
▪Sales opportunity dependent on resolution.
▪Request Type.
 – Bug or Defect
 – User Feedback and/or Requests for Enhancements
 – General Sizing Assistance
 – Performance Study Assistance
 – Workflow Reviews and Approvals
 – e-config CFR assistance
▪Subject (maximum 300 characters).
▪Request Description (maximum 3000 characters).
▪Attach Files button. You can attach a copy of a Storage Modeller project, for example, for a Bug or Defect. For e-config CFR assistance you should attach a sample CFR file.
▪Select the Priority: Low, Medium or High.

Optional fields in the Support form
▪Attach local files found on your computer, if required.
▪Attach a copy of a StorM project. See details in Figure 17.
When you select this option, you see a list of available projects with their modification dates. Select one or more items to attach.
 
Notes:
▪A snapshot of each project that you send to Support is saved and is listed in the Support Projects perspective, which you access in the “Perspectives menu”.
▪Each project that goes to Support gets a [Received] prefix to ensure the uniqueness of its name.
After you click Submit, you receive an email from the IBM Storage Specialist who is assigned to your support request. A confirmation pop-up message is displayed.
