Capacity modeling the System 9152
The System 9152 is two identical 9846 or 9848 AF8s clustered. See
Figure 356. Up to four 9150s can be clustered. See the
IBM Knowledge Center for System 9100 v8.3 for
details on the currently supported approaches to clustering.
The System 9152 enables easier ordering of two 9150 control enclosures to reach twice the capacity and performance. For further details, refer to the
IBM System 9100.

This example uses the Storage Modeller Capacity function to size two 9150 systems, configuring each with half the total required storage of 200TiB.
1. From the Project view, select Add Product > IBM Storage Virtualize > System 9100.
2. From the System tab, configure a 9150 with two I/O groups. Each I/O group corresponds to one 9150,
Figure 357.

3. From the Capacity view, select Add Pool, define a pool (this example uses
a regular pool), then select Submit.
4. Next create an array for each I/O group, configuring the Effective capacity for each array with half the total
200 TiB of required storage, as in
Figure 358. Then
select
Submit.

5. Validate that the configuration is correct and balanced, as in
Figure 359.
