Highlights regarding imported reports:

▪Use one data report in many projects: You can ingest the same imported data report into multiple Storage Modeller projects. For example, your customer might request distinct models for multiple hybrid-cloud scenarios. You might use one data report for all scenarios.

▪Use one TYPE of data report for Workloads for ANY TYPE of device: You can feed data reports from one type of storage device into the workload for any other type of storage device. Data ingestion is “source agnostic” in this sense. (But you must ingest one of the valid file types shown in Table 11.)

Data ingestion is available for these families of devices in Storage Modeller:

▪IBM Storage Virtualize

▪IBM DS8000
