Adding a Product
To get started modeling, you can open an existing project or start a new project. This example starts with a new project. To add a product, you click Add Product+ in any project view. The Storage Portfolio Selector is displayed and you follow this process:
1. Click the IBM DS8000 tile.
2. In the list of storage types, click list of device model.
3. Select the tile of the storage model that you need. The New Storage System dialog box is displayed.
4. Name the new product, and click Submit.
For more details about adding a system, see “Hosts tab (configure the hosts in a project)” on page 48.
For our example system, we manually entered the name DS8950F Example system.
When you are updating or adding a system, you reach the System tab. This tab is the first in a set of four tabs:
