On 28 March 2024, IBM released IBM® Maximo® Application Suite Manage Component patch 8.7.6.

DT259885 Technician In the Mobile Technician application, the Sort criteria include two options for Location. One of those options gives a System Message BMXAA9105E - "Invalid OSLC order by identifier locationnum specified. Make sure the identifier is included in the resource definition.".
DT259903 Mobile In the role-based Technician application, Mobile displays a blank page after the user fills in the Failure report.
DT259916 Integration REST API sessions time out after 3 minutes.
DT259971 Mobile When starting and stopping the timer several times rapidly, the Work Order shows the timer to be stopped. In reality, the timer is not started on that Work Order, and the error "BMXAA2553E - Timer already started." is written to the log.
DT260087 Mobile In Mobile Work Order and reporting Work on a Rotating Item, the Assets list shows the Asset Number and Bin Number, not the Asset Number and Serial Number.
DT260409 Mobile In a customized Maximo Mobile environment, an errored transaction does not display the Go To Record, Delete and Retry Error buttons.

DT261473 Technician A Work Order created in Mobile Technician is missing the Problem/Cause/Remedy (PCR) fields.
DT261744 Mobile In an environment where the Organization settings "Automatically change work order status to INPRG when a user starts a labor timer" and "By default, change the work order status to COMP when a user stops a labor timer" are enabled and the System Property maximo.mobile.allowmultipletimers is 0, the Work Timer of a Work Order takes longer to start.
DT269389 Mobile In the Mobile application, clicking the chevron to open a follow-up Work Order, all that appears is a spinning wheel.

APAR Change instructions
Set the system property mxe.doclink.attachmentOpenMethod to inline or attachment depending on desired results (Inline: file opens in browser. Attachment: file downloads)
In Application Designer, filter for and select User.
  1. Export the application definition user.xml
  2. Search for <pushbutton id="maxgroupmulti_2_1"
  3. Add default="true" to the end
  4. Save the xml file.

Manually Installing the Patch
  • Log in to Maximo Application Suite Administration as an administrative user.
  • On the left, click Applications.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • In the dialog box, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • Under Activation configuration, click your workspace details page link.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • Under Configurations, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • In the Maximo Base line, under new version click the down arrow.
  • Select Version. Enter 8.7.6
  • Click Save.
