This publication contains additions and changes to information previously presented in PSF for z/OS: User's Guide, S550-0435-04.

General changes

References to "Infoprint ProcessDirector" are changed to "Ricoh ProcessDirector".
PSF for z/OS now supports InfoPrint Manager for Linux.

New information

PSF supports MO:DCA Presentation Interchange Set 3 (MO:DCA IS/3). See Data streams, MO:DCA-P data, and Printing MO:DCA-P data.
References to resource installers are updated to mention that if you are using PSF with z/OS V2R1, the z/OS Font Collection contains prebuilt resource access tables (RATs) for WorldType fonts. See TrueType and OpenType fonts, TrueType and OpenType fonts, Using TrueType and OpenType fonts, Using extended code pages, and Specifying object container libraries in UNIX files.
The z/OS Font Collection, a base feature of z/OS V2R1, is added to references of the AFP Font Collection and Infoprint Fonts for z/OS. See Obtaining and referencing fonts, Mapping FOCA fonts, Using printer-resident fonts, PSF resources supplied by IBM, and CHARS.
PSF supports preprinted form overlays. See Overlays, Using overlays, Overlay identification, Printing with overlays, Printing a medium overlay, and Printing a page overlay.
Diagnosing incorrect printer output has been added. A reference to this new chapter has been added to Printing text data.
New form definitions, F1I30110 and F1I30111, have been added to Table 11 for IS/3.
New page definitions, P1TT6462 and P1TT6483, have been added to Table 40 for IS/3.

Changed information

The list of deferred functions that direct-printing mode does not support has been updated in PSF as an access method (direct-printing mode).
An additional reference for outline fonts has been added to Formatting data with PSF.
A statement has been added to describe Figure 8.
Searching for resources specified by a print job has been updated with information about where resource types are located.
Table 2 has been updated with the location where resource types are stored.
Form definitions has been updated with options.
A note has been added to Using APSRMARK to mark resources specifying that extended code pages are not marked.
The text "back side" in OVERLAYB has been updated to "back medium presentation space".
The LRECL and BLKSIZE keyword values have been updated in the AFRREBLK sample profile in Figure 47.
The AFPSTATS report is updated to indicate whether a file is MO:DCA IS/3. See Obtaining AFP statistics and “Interchange Set" in Softcopy record details and Sample hardcopy report.

Deleted information

TrueType and OpenType fonts are now supported in direct-printing mode. Statements that TrueType and OpenType fonts are not supported in direct-printing mode have been removed from these sections:
References to PSF needing to be Unicode-enabled have been removed because PSF is always Unicode-enabled in PSF 4.5.0. See:
References to old APARs for Document Composition Facility (DCF), Overlay Generation Language (OGL), and Page Printer Formatting Aid (PPFA) have been deleted. See Using FOCA fonts on printers with different resolutions, Page overlay rotation in page definitions and form definitions, N_UP printing, and Printing on printers that support multiple resolutions.
PSF now supports the AFPPARMS control statement that is specified on a DD statement in the startup procedure (with or without the AFP Download Plus feature is installed). This information is now documented in PSF for z/OS: Customization. See Table 3.
