Overriding connections

A company administrator (admin) or IBM Support can override a connection by using different options.

About this task

You can override:

A transfer edit of a connection. For more information, see Transferring connection edits.
Discarding a connection edit. For more information, see Locking and unlocking connections.
The lock that another user placed on a connection. For more information, see Discarding connection edits.

Tip: To know the details for a connection that might already be in the locked status, click the lock icon.

Procedure

To override your previous command, search for the connection from the Connections list page.
Click the Action options menu and:
- To override the transfer of a connection edit, click Transfer edit.
- To override a connection edit, click Discard.
- To unlock a connection or to override a lock that another user placed on a connection, click Unlock.
