Discarding connection edits

As a user, company administrator (admin), or a representative of IBM Support team, you can discard the edit for a connection.

Before you begin

Important: The discard edit feature is applicable for only those connections that are in the Work in progress status and have not been deployed to Customer Test Environment (CTE). Unless you are company administrator (admin) or from IBM Support, you can discard the edit for only those connections that you checked out to edit.

About this task

When you need to undo the changes and edits you made to the connection you checked out to edit, use the following steps to discard the changes.

Procedure

  1. From the side navigation menu, select Company resources > Connections. Then, on the Connections page or the Trading partners connections page, click the Action options menu, and click Discard. Alternatively, search for the connection to discard the edit for, and click it.
    Clicking the connection takes you to the Connection information page.
  2. Click Discard.
  3. On the Confirmation window, click Discard.
    The version is decremented to the last deployed version. For example, if the connection version was version 2.1, it reverts to version 1.1.
    Attention: If the connection version was in version 1.1, the connection is deleted.
