Locking and unlocking connections
You can lock a connection to restrict other users from working on the connection locked by you.
Before you begin
Your lock permissions are subject to the status of the connection and your role.

About this task
To lock a connection, use the procedure that follows.
Tip: To know the details for a connection that might already be in the locked status,
click the lock icon.
Procedure
- From the side navigation menu, select . Then, on the Connections page, search for a connection.
- Click the Action options menu and select Lock.
- Optional: In the Lock connections window, enter your comments in the Reason for lock (optional) text box.
- Click Lock.
What to do next
Click the three dots (or menu options) and select Edit.
Note: This option is visible to you for only those connections that are locked by you.
To unlock a currently locked connection, in the Connections page, click Action options Unlock.
Important: You can unlock only those connections that are locked by you. However, you
cannot unlock a connection that was locked by someone else. Only your company
administrator (admin) or IBM Support can unlock it.
