Turbonomic Actions technical details

The technical details of the Turbonomic Actions application solve two major use cases:

  • Create records of Turbonomic decisions, which are associated with Turbonomic entities (configuration items) in the CMDB. In this scenario, audit-able records are generated in ServiceNow for the actions that were generated or run in Turbonomic.

  • Integrate Turbonomic decisions with the ServiceNow change workflows. In this case, change requests must be approved in ServiceNow before you run the corresponding Turbonomic actions.

An important use case for this integration is the implementation of custom business rules to create Change Requests (CRs) and to update action approval states. For more information, see Custom Business Rules.
