Audit dashboard
The audit dashboard provides a comprehensive view of all administrative changes that are made in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization, enabling you to track modifications, identify issues, and support troubleshooting activities.
Overview
All administrative actions in IBM Maximo Inventory Optimization are automatically audited. The audit dashboard captures detailed information about changes that are made by users, including what was modified, when the change occurred, and who made the change. This auditing capability is essential for maintaining system integrity, supporting compliance requirements, and troubleshooting issues.
Use cases
Use the audit dashboard to:
- Track configuration changes that might have caused system issues
- Review user activities for security and compliance purposes
- Identify when specific modules or settings were modified
- Support troubleshooting by correlating system behavior with configuration changes
- Maintain an audit trail for regulatory compliance
- Investigate unexpected system behavior by reviewing recent changes
Audit levels
The audit dashboard provides three levels of detail:
- Module level
- Displays high-level changes to system modules such as System operations, Data enrichment config, Access management, and Workflow settings. This view shows the operation type (Created, Updated, Deleted), modification date, and the user who made the change.
- Table level
- Shows changes to specific database tables within a module. This view provides more granular information about which tables were affected by administrative actions.
- Record level
- Displays field-level changes for individual records, including previous and current values. This detailed view enables you to see exactly what changed in each field and compare different versions of a record.
Filtering capabilities
The audit dashboard provides multiple filtering options to help you find specific audit records:
- Module name - Filter by the system module that was modified
- From date and To date - Filter by date range to focus on changes within a specific time period
- Modified by name or email - Filter by the user who made the changes
- Search - Search within the filtered results for specific text
