Use the object properties sheet to edit attributes, or to change the value of an
attribute for more than one object.
About this task
To edit attribute values, you must have modify access to the object and to the attribute
value. The module must be open in exclusive edit mode.
Procedure
- In the module window, select the object or objects whose attributes you want to edit, and
then right-click Properties.
You can also apply your changes to all the objects in the current view.
- You can edit the Object Heading, Object Text, and Object Short Text attributes on the
General tab. To see a complete list of attributes, and to edit them, select
the Attributes tab.
A list of all the attributes that apply to objects is displayed, along with the values they
have for the current object. Read-only
is displayed to the left of attributes you cannot edit.
- To view or edit an attribute, select it, and then click
View/Edit.
- To change the value of the attribute, make sure that Inherit is
cleared, and enter the new value.
Text or String attributes can include URLs. URLs with
the following protocols display as links:
- http://
- https://
- ftp://
- file://
- Specify the objects that you want to apply the changes to by selecting either
Current object, Selected objects, or
Objects in current view.
- Use the Add checked values, and Remove unchecked
values fields to control updates to multi-valued enumerated attributes for multiple
objects.
To update multi-valued enumerated attributes, select the option or options that
you want.
- Clear Add checked values to leave the individual values of the selected
attributes unchanged.
- Clear Remove unchecked values to leave the individual values of
attributes that are not selected unchanged.
Clearing an option means that the values that are either selected or cleared are not
updated.
- Click OK.
