Cyberconference 2026 convenes Canada’s cybersecurity ecosystem – industry leaders, public sector organizations, and researchers – to examine today’s most pressing security challenges and the transformations reshaping our digital environment.
Taking place April 28–29, 2026 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal, the conference’s 6th edition looks toward the 2030 horizon with major discussions on AI and cybersecurity, the post‑quantum transition, digital sovereignty, critical infrastructure resilience, and cyber defence.

For decades, organizations have relied on classical cryptographic algorithms like RSA, AES, ECC, and Diffie-Hellman to secure data and communications. The emergence of cryptographically relevant quantum computers (CRQCs) threatens these algorithms, as quantum techniques such as Shor’s and Grover’s could break current encryption and signature schemes. To mitigate this risk, transitioning to quantum-safe cryptography is essential. This involves a structured process including Quantum-Safe Discovery and Remediation focused on identifying vulnerable assets, assessing business impact, and migrating to NIST-approved post-quantum algorithms like CRYSTALS-Kyber and Dilithium. In this session, we explore the technical and strategic foundations required for quantum resilience.
