IBM Learning is headed to Las Vegas, Nevada, for next month’s inaugural IBM TechXchange technical conference. Joining them will be their mascot-slash-muse, Buzz T. Bee. Buzz answered some questions from the newsletter team.

Q: Thanks for taking time from your busy schedule to chat with us, Buzz. Why did you agree to an interview? A: The pleazzzure is all mine. I’m here bee-cauze I like sharing newz about what IBM Training haz to offer to learners. The buzz right now is that IBM Training will be onsite at the plush MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas for IBM TechXchange from September 11 to 14.

Q: Indeed! You’ll be at that premier, technical learning event that is designed by technologists for technologists who use IBM products and solutions, too. How are you getting to the venue? A: I’m definitely flying.

Q: Where can attendees find you at the event? A: I’ll bee at the IBM Learning booth in the Sandbox Expo Hall, with my fellow IBM Learning workers. We’ll tell the humans about all the top-notch features of the IBM Training site (which they eazily can remember is at https://www.ibm.com/training), such as organized learning paths and collections in numerous categories of IBM topics, badging opportunities, certifications and specialty credentials, and even free courses.

Q: What sets IBM Learning offerings apart from other training platforms? A: Oh, the course content is so clear, orderly, and succinct; and never does a video presenter drone on and on.

Q: There will be certifications granted at the event. Can you tell me about that? A: Yes, this is a sweet-as-honey perk of the conference. Everyone may take up to 3 certification exams on site, the cost for which is covered in the registration package. Expect the tests to be proctored, and to end when a buzz-er sounds, of course. Also, attendees get 1 voucher to use after the event, this year. It’s wize to go to https://www.ibm.com/training/credentials before the conference to be ready for desired exams ahead of time.

Q: What do you see as your greatest gain from completing IBM Learning courses, acquiring badges, and earning credentials? A: I love learning and expanding my skills, for sure, but it’s especially cool that the documented accomplishments help me rize above the hive and set myself apart in the fields, keeping me in demand in my industry.

Q: That’s great, Buzz. We appreciate the info about TechXchange 2023 and IBM Learning. One last question, please. What’s the dress code? A: I haven’t heard of strict rules, but I’m going Buzz-ness Casual.
