Box Cloud Content Management on IBM Cloud Object Storage

We are excited to share that as of October 1st, joint Box and IBM customers can now leverage IBM Cloud Object Storage for their infrastructure needs in the US. This new collaboration expands on the investment that IBM and Box continue to make to provide customers greater opportunities to leverage the IBM Cloud. We recognize how much value there is in the power of choice and interoperability, and this move builds on existing IBM infrastructure options already available in Europe and Canada. Clients can now control their content assets and data with Box Cloud Content Management backed by IBM Cloud Object Storage durable storage capabilities, and they can also easily tap into a broader set of integrated Cloud and AI services with IBM.

IBM Cloud Object Storage provides durable data storage for enterprises and organizations and is built on best-of-breed IBM Cloud infrastructure. Box on IBM Cloud Object Storage provides joint customers with world-class data protection, native encryption for data at rest, and support for customer key management. It is built for scale and supports exponential data growth to meet content needs of all kinds. IBM Cloud Object Storage is fully integrated with Box and provides built-in reliability and data integrity for even the most demanding use cases. To meet the ever-growing compliance and governance requirements of our customers, we are also excited to share that this integration fully supports important compliance standards, including ISO 27001, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, FINRA, and many other critical standards.
