Italy’s Fincantieri is speeding the creation of new cruise ships and naval vessels with a hybrid cloud solution from IBM. By connecting 13 private distributed data centers with IBM’s Cloud Data Center in Milan, Fincantieri now has an IT infrastructure that supports a compute-intensive design and manufacturing system, allowing designers and engineers to more fluidly manage the process from design to deployment.
