If you don't already have a background in DB2 database administration, but are interested in learning more, you should instead begin with the DB2 UDB Family Fundamentals Certification (exam 700) Preparation tutorials. The Family Fundamentals tutorial series provides an introduction to SQL (Structured Query Language) and covers how DB2 Universal Database V8.1 is packaged and installed, how to create databases and database objects, and the basics of database security and transaction isolation.
