Impact of Data Spaces on workloads
The Data Spaces approach was introduced with version 4.5.0 of Storage Modeller (in May 2021). After this function takes effect, you do not assign a workload directly to a pool. Instead,
you assign a workload to a Data Space.

Note: The Data Spaces approach is currently available for one family of devices in Storage Modeller, DS8000 devices. So, for DS8000 devices your workloads
must use Data Spaces. In contrast, Data Spaces are not yet implemented for IBM Storage Virtualize devices, and workloads for those devices continue to function as before.

Starting with version 4.5.0, Storage Modeller automatically migrates specific projects when you first open those projects after this upgrade. Currently, only projects that include DS8000
devices are migrated. Migration typically requires a few seconds to complete.
