Derek Leist drives the AI security, safety, and governance roadmap for the Data and Model Factory at IBM Research Cambridge. A graduate of MIT, Derek has held strategy, client-facing, and technical leadership roles, with a focus on exploratory AI research and its business application. He also lectures on AI governance at the MIT Sloan Executive Education Program and is an Adjunct Professor at Sciences Po Paris.
