The IBM i Global Support Center recommends installing the individual fixes listed below for corrective service and preventative maintenance. If a problem persists after the recommended fixes have been installed, the IBM i Global Support Center can more efficiently diagnose the problem and additional fixes may be recommended.
Infoprint Server (5722IP1) PTFs versus IBM i OS PTFs
The latest version of Infoprint Server is V5R3. This is referred to as a Skip Ship product. The release of the product will not be the same as the Operating System (OS). Infoprint Server V5R3 will install and operate on OS V5R4 and higher.
The following PTFs are general fixes for Infoprint Server. A current cumulative PTF package, the following Infoprint Server PTFs and the latest AFP/PSF fixes should be applied to any system that has the IBM Infoprint Server product (5722IP1) installed. If these PTFs are ordered electronically and additional PTFs are downloaded, make sure all PTFs that are delivered get applied to the system.
The additional PTFs are requisite PTFs that must also be applied.

Order the Recommended Fixes for Infoprint Server using Fix Central or SNDPTFORD.
For reference, review the Ordering PTFs / Fixes Electronically Using SNDPTFORD and Fix Central document.
You will need to type the individual PTF numbers from the list. You will have the opportunity to add additional PTFs to the download list, if needed.
This list applies to OS versions V7R3, V7R4, V7R5 and V7R6 for 5722IP1 V5R3M0 product.

If unsure which PTFs are needed, use GO LICPGM Option 20 (Display installed secondary languages), which shows the primary language and lists any secondary languages that are installed.
