On 28 March 2024, IBM released IBM® Maximo® Application Suite Manage Component patch 8.6.11.

DT233269 System UI Receive error BMXAA4049E - "The value specified exceeds the maximum field length that is allowed for this attribute." adding an attachment description with 255 characters.
DT237778 Mobile Maximo Mobile - "undefined" text when completing Inspection form.
DT247024 Mobile Unable to enter meter reading values when starting the inspection from inspection creation. The values in the UI are disabled and read-only.
DT247456 Labor Reporting Editing time fields in existing record causes BMXAA2590E error.
DT258724 Mobile Follow up work created on wrong Work Order when using Return buttons.
DT258793 Mobile Titles on the Mobile Welcome and Good News pages are not fully translated.
DT258879 Mobile Changing an Asset from Down to Up clears the Asset Downtime Code field.
DT259903 Mobile In the role-based Technician application, Mobile displays a blank page after the user fills in the Failure report.
DT259971 Mobile When starting and stopping the timer several times rapidly, the Work Order shows the timer to be stopped. In reality, the timer is not started on that Work Order, and the error "BMXAA2553E - Timer already started." is written in the log.
DT260409 Mobile In a customized Maximo Mobile environment, an errored transaction does not display the Go To Record, Delete and Retry Error buttons.
DT260576 Mobile The Follow-Up Work Order Page takes longer to open the first time it is used.
DT261473 Technician A Work Order created in Mobile Technician is missing the Problem/Cause/Remedy (PCR) fields.
DT261744 Mobile In an environment where the Organization settings "Automatically change work order status to INPRG when a user starts a labor timer" and "By default, change the work order status to COMP when a user stops a labor timer" are enabled and the System Property maximo.mobile.allowmultipletimers is 0, the Work Timer of a Work Order takes longer to start.
DT269389 Mobile In the Mobile application, clicking the chevron to open a follow-up Work Order, all that appears is a spinning wheel.
DT269990 Mobile The Camera light stays on scanning barcodes on Windows devices.
DT270126 Login The Manage user session times out before the MAS timeout period has expired.
IJ41240 Purchase requisitions Deleting an item in PR Lines tab does not delete the data from the Specification tab.
IJ46181 Integration Creating a Location with a hierarchy with the API results in error BMXAA4214E - "An unknown error has occurred.".
IJ49555 System UI When the System Property securedAttachments is true, downloading an attachment whose name includes special characters results in a 500 error and the attachment is not downloaded.

Graphical Scheduling Calendar look up does not appear after clicking Calendar icon on SQL Expression Builder.
IJ49633 Invoices Approving an Invoice results in errors BMXAA2013E - "Could not change invoice NNNN status to APPR." and BMXAA1974E - "Cannot approve invoice because of unexpected error. Please send the server's stack trace log to support.".

IJ49880 Manage Inspections Forms Inspection Questions are not following the sequence they are created in Manage Inspection Form application.

DT257218 Mobile Clicking the I icon for an inspection question does not display more information or instructions.

Manual Changes
APAR Change instructions
Go to the Application Designer.
Export export system menus.xml.
Find the menu SKDEXPBUILDER. Change the menuitem id="skdexp0" event from skdexpbuilder to expbuilder.

Manually Installing the Patch
  • Log in to Maximo Application Suite Administration as an administrative user.
  • On the left, click Applications.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • In the dialog box, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • Under Activation configuration, click your workspace details page link.
  • From the Action menu, select Update configuration.
  • Under Configurations, click the pencil icon on the Components line.
  • In the Maximo Base line, under new version click the down arrow.
  • Select Version. Enter 8.6.11
  • Click Save.
