This page details the IBM Storage Defender Data Protect support for IBM Storage FlashSystem.
Content
To back up IBM Storage FlashSystem volumes to Data Protect clusters, you must meet the following requirements:
- Data Protect clusters must be running on a supported version, see IBM Storage Defender: Data Protect support information.
- IBM Storage FlashSystem and SAN Volume Controller storage arrays must be configured with firmware level 8.6.0.2 or newer levels.
- Your IBM Storage FlashSystem and SAN Volume Controller hardware must be compatible for backups to Data Protect clusters.
The following models are supported:- IBM Storage FlashSystem 5045 model
- IBM Storage FlashSystem 5200 model
- IBM Storage FlashSystem 5300 model
- IBM Storage FlashSystem 7300 model
- IBM Storage FlashSystem 9100 model
- IBM Storage FlashSystem 9200 model
- IBM Storage FlashSystem 9500 model
- IBM SAN Volume Controller SA2 and SV2 models
- IBM SAN Volume Controller SV3 model
Restriction: The mirrored volumes, mirrored snapshots, HyperSwap, and enhanced stretched cluster functions are not currently supported.
