Product Lifecycle
Abstract
The Support Lifecycle for the IBM QRadar portfolio of products is outlined below. QRadar Support accepts support cases (from the web or phone) from current Subscription & Support customers, on any version that has not reached its End of Support date as defined below in the QRadar Software tables. Defect and Security Update Support is available as defined by the Continuous Delivery Support Lifecycle, under which fixes and updates will be delivered on the next patch or version (see more below).

Recent updates (change list)
- Feb 2026: Added M7's to EOS table. Updated verbiage under "Appliance Hardware Support".
- 17 Sept 2024: Added 8 Dell Pids/MTM's to "QRadar Hardware Appliance End of Support Dates" Table.
- 16 April 2024: Total Update to Doc, taking out support for 7.3.x and 7.4.x and the move to Continuous Delivery. Replaced CD with R. Updated Tables with more EOS announcements and created a new table specific to EOS for specific products (not VRM based).
- 10 March 2022: Added information related to announced move to Continuous Delivery support model starting with QRadar 7.5.0

The QRadar Support Lifecycle is as follows:
Appliance Hardware Support -
- QRadar “M8” Series and “D7” Series Appliances (Machine Type 5840 & 4893) adhere to the Standard IBM appliance lifecycle policy, and will be available for five (5) years from the end of marketing (EOM) date.
- QRadar Legacy Series Appliances (see Machine Types below) adhere to a custom lifecycle of support available for 5 years from the date of original purchase. These dates are unique to each individual appliance and fixed to each serial number.
- End of Support (EOS) is the time after which no further Remote or On-Site hardware support is available. While not recommended, customers might continue to use the Appliance (Hardware & Software) at their own risk. To receive software support, the customer has to continue renewing subscription and support (S&S) on the necessary QRadar software parts. For hardware support, the customer would need to contact the hardware vendor to see whether hardware support is available. It is recommended that customers be aware of their QRadar Appliance End of Support dates.
Software Support - QRadar adheres to the following support lifecycle policy:
- QRadar follows the Continuous Delivery software support model, under which fixes and updates will be delivered on the next patch or version. See more at the IBM Continuous Delivery Lifecycle Policy page.
- End of Support (EOS) is the time after which no further Defect corrections or Security Updates are made available. End of Support notifications are posted here and in technical support information within 90 days of the effective date. It is recommended that customers subscribe to ' My Notifications ' to receive daily or weekly notifications of technical support information such as downloads, tips, technical notes, and publications.
- Support for upgrading to the most current release (R) from any previous QRadar software version is available to customers current on Subscription & Support. Refer to the relevant release notes for detailed instructions on upgrading to the most recent release.
IBM Security App Exchange: Software downloaded and installed from the IBM Security App Exchange is not covered under your QRadar Software Support Agreement. Specific support-related details for software downloaded from the IBM Security App Exchange are communicated at the time of download.
QRadar tooling and integration software: QRadar tooling and integration software are provided at no charge and falls outside this QRadar Support Policy; however, support is available for the latest active version of QRadar tooling and integration software.
