Service lifecycle dates for current releases of IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition.

Java 8

The IBM SDK, Java Technology Edition, Version 8 was released in February 2015 and will continue to receive security updates from the following sites until the 31st of December 2030:

Customers will receive support for the IBM SDK or JRE if it is included in the support entitlement of an IBM product or IBM operating system. Refer to the IBM Support Product lifecycle and the detailed lifecycle and support information for AIX, z/OS and IBM i.

Java 11 onwards

For Java 11 onwards lifecycle dates and support status is explained in IBM Semeru Runtimes support.

IBM SDK for z/OS, Java Technology Edition
