Prerequisite for Image Services 4.2.0
You need to add the oscheck.vbs script before installing or upgrading Image Services. The script is bundled with the interim fix is_4.2.0-IF552392.
Note: The interim fix need not be installed on Image Services 4.1.2.
Adding the oscheck.vbs script in Image Services 4.2.0
Perform the following steps to add the oscheck.vbs script in the required location (C:\fnsw\altsetup), prior to launching the installer.
- Download the Image Services 4.2.0 Windows installer from IBM Passport Advantage.
- Access the interim fix files from is_4.2.0-IF552392 on IBM Fix Central.
- Download and extract the interim fix files.
- Create a folder on your 'C:' drive and name it fnsw.
- Create a folder inside the newly created fnsw folder and name it altsetup.
- Copy the oscheck.vbs script and paste it into the folder created in step 5.
- Install or upgrade to Image Services 4.2.0.
Installing or upgrading to Image Services 4.2.0
There are two types of installation modes for Image Services, as described below:
- Graphical mode: Locate and double-click the is_4.2.0_win.exe file to run the setup.
- Silent mode: Open the command prompt and run the following command:
is_4.2.0_win.exe -i silent C:\tmp\opt.txt
Where 'C:\tmp\opt.txt' is the location and name of the response file.
Important: Failure to comply with this prerequisite procedure results in premature termination of the Image Services 4.2.0 installation process with an Operating System check failure message.
