Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server who use Tivoli Performance Viewer * * (TPV) logging * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: TPV logging stops once a second user * * logs in to the administrative console. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A user starts the TPV logging and after some time logs out of the administrative console. Another users logs in to it and when clicking on the TPV panel, it leads to entire TPV failure. The problem was caused by the fact that the server buffer was released, which led to the failure in logging when the second user session started.
Problem conclusion
Code changes have been made to fix this problem, so that TPV logging will not be stopped when a second user session starts. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 6.1.0.33 and 7.0.0.13.
