Enhancements and fix details for IBM Navigator for i PTFs.

The following fixes and updates are included in the June 2016 PTFs:

  1. Admin2 is now running on JDK 64 bit.  Before applying this PTF, verify licensed program 5770JV1 Option 15 (Java SE 7 64 bit) is installed.

7.3 only

  1. IFS Symbolic Link Indicator, which can separate symbolic links and real files/directories in order to allow users to determine file structure quicker and easier.   
  2. The AFP Manager function is being added to IBM Navigator for i for V7R3. It is currently part of the System i Navigator client application. AFP Manager lets you work with AFP resources (code pages, coded fonts, font character sets, form definitions, overlays, page definitions, and page segments), font mapping tables, and PSF configuration objects. You can create an AFP resource on your personal computer and save it as an object on the system. This is called importing. AFP Manager also lets you create font mapping tables and PSF configuration objects.
  3. Dashboard is a new feature delivered on IBM Navigator for i 7.3. With the Dashboard, users can view key system data in real time.  This provides visual indicators of overall system status and health.

Other Fixes:

  1. The default collection interval for System Monitors was changed to 1 minute.  Previously it had been 15 seconds.  An interval of 1 minute (or longer) is recommended to avoid large collections.
  2. Fix for problem with the properties of IBM TIvoli Directory server.  Previously the error "You are not authorized to perform this operation" would be displayed.  The group authority will be utilized to allow the properties view of IBM Tivoli Directory server. (7.2, 7.3)
  3. Fix for Connection Profiles which previously did not allow setting the model profile when creating a PPP profile using an existing line description. (7.2, 7.3)
  4. Fix for Send PTF Wizard function failure with error message CPF35BE if requisite PTF is on the source system but the source system does not have the corresponding LPP or option installed.  (7.2, 7.3)
  5. Parameter &ENDPOINT used in a trigger command within a system monitor was shown as "localhost" or "&ENDPOINT).  Now it will be shown as the actional endpoint system name.(7.2, 7.3)
  6. Fix for IBM Directory Navigator Enterprise Identity Mapping error occurring when trying to add domain.  Now if the user selects a Parent DN as None, the connection can be verified and the domain add will work.(7.2, 7.3)
  7. Fix for configuring Network Authentication.(7.2, 7.3)
  8. Fix for problem with export IPDS spool files as ASCII text.  Previously only "Export as Raw" was allowed.  Now exporting as ASCII text will be allowed.(7.2, 7.3)
